A Valentine For Every Child: BGFA advocates for foster care awareness this February

In the spirit of love and compassion, BGFA (Bridging Gaps Fostering Agency) launches a heartfelt initiative this February, aiming to spread awareness and support for children in foster care. Under the banner of "A Valentine For Every Child," BGFA is dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, feels cherished and valued.

Raising Awareness

February, traditionally known for celebrating love, presents the perfect opportunity to shine a light on the often-overlooked issue of foster care. Through various campaigns, social media drives, and community events, BGFA endeavours to educate the public about the challenges faced by children in foster care and the importance of providing them with stable, loving environments.

Advocacy and Support, how does BGFA do it?

BGFA advocates for policy changes and increased resources to improve the foster care system. By collaborating with organisations and those in political careers such as Members of Parliament and Mayors, they seek to implement reforms that prioritise the well-being and future success of every child in foster care.

Spreading Love

As part of their initiative, BGFA encourages individuals and communities to get involved in spreading love to children in foster care. From educating the public and organising mentorship programs to offering foster care support services, there are countless ways for everyone to make a difference in a child's life.

Join hands with BGFA

This February, let's join hands with BGFA in their mission to ensure that every child in foster care receives the love and support they deserve. Together, we can create a brighter future for these vulnerable children and show them that they are cherished, not just on Valentine's Day, but every day of the year.

‘Appreciating, valuing and cherishing our children’- Glen Pereira Registered Manager of BGFA

“ Valentine's day is an ideal opportunity for carers and social workers to take time to acknowledge and appreciate all our children, valuing and cherishing them.  Helping them feel loved, so when the time comes they can pay it forward to those who come behind them. “
